Many people are still confused about whether firqah najiyyah equal to thaifah manshurah. This is because there are differences of opinion in this matter.

Among contemporary dai equalize the firqah najiyyah and thaifah manshurah is Shaikh Salim bin 'Id al-Hilali in his book Al-Manhaj Limadza Ikhtartu As-Salaf.

The author says, "No doubt, Ath-Thaifah Al-Mansurah is what is on the understanding of the Prophet and his companions because she is above the truth, while truth is what is on it the Prophet and his companions, then anyone who remained steadfast (commitments) above what is available to him Al-Jama'ah before the split, although alone, then he is Al-Jama'ah.

Thus it is clear characteristic (greatness) methodology of Al-firqah An-Najiyyah and Thaifah Ath-Al-Mansurah, Al-Kitab and Sunnah with the understanding of the Salaf of this people, that Muhammad and those who were with him and those those who follow them well until the day of Judgment and preach to unity over this understanding.

Al-firqah An-Najiyyah and Ath-Al-Mansurah Thaifah has four properties, namely:

    Laa tazaalu Tha'ifah (there is always a group), this means there is always continuous.
    Zhahiriina 'ala al-haq (upholding the truth) is a meaningful victory.
    Khadzalahum yadhurruhum man wa laa laa man khaalafahum (not harming them those who reproach (insult) and menyelisihi them) make a significant ahlil anger heresy and infidel.
    Kulluhaa an-nar fi illa wahidah (all of them in hell except one) means safety from Hell. "

Differences firqah Najiyyah and Thaifah Mansurah

Most books of theology states that firqah najiyyah (Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah) it is thaifah manshurah. The second term is equated in the context that they are the other name for the Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah. There are four other names of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah beside Ahlul Hadith and Al-Ghuraba '.
According to Shaikh Salman and Shaikh Abdul Qadir, rajih opinion (strong) is different from the thaifah firqah, and in fact is part of firqah thaifah. So, firqah najiyyah wider scope than thaifah manshurah. This is confirmed by evidence from the Qur'an. Allah Ta'ala says, "Why not go from each group (firqah) among those few people (thaifah) to deepen their knowledge of religion." (At-Tawbah [9]: 122).

This verse distinguishes between firqah and thaifah and explained that thaifah is part of firqah.
