In this post, I am going to show you how to install Telegram Camera (Telecam) on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install Telegram Camera (Telecam) using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "Telegram Camera (Telecam)" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

How to install Telegram Camera (Telecam) on Windows PC using NoxPlayer

Instruction:

1. Open your Telegram Messenger app.
2. Search for 'myTelecam_bot'.
'Telecam_bot' will be found.
3. Select the bot. Click 'START' or send '/start' command.
4. Bot will respond by replying a Chat ID. Copy Chat ID given by the bot.
5. Enter the Chat ID into the required field in this app (accessible by tapping anywhere on the screen).
6. Don't forget to set the interval value of each of picture takings (in seconds, minimum is 15).
7. Tap 'Save' and the setting will immediately applied.
8. Click 'START' button. The timer will be started and once it reaches '0' a picture will be taken and saved into your phone's Telecam folder (automatically created). If your Telegram Chat ID is correct and internet connection is available, you should receive the pictures sent to your Telegram Messenger app."

Bluetooth function:

1. Get "BT Terminal" app by Nudge Me from Google Play. Install it to another phone (phone B). Phone A is where the Telecam app is installed.
2. Pair Bluetooth between phone A and phone B through phone's Bluetooth Setting (required one time only).
3. Launch the BT Terminal app.
4. Select 'Connect' menu, then select the phone A's Bluetooth name from the popup list.
5. When the connection is successful, you will get a command list sent by phone A indicating that everything is OK.

Key in the following text (commands) on the phone B, then click SEND button.
a) capture - Take picture, save into Telecam folder then send it to Telegram.
b) flash - Switch flash mode on the phone.
c) front - Switch to front view camera.
d) main - Switch to main (rear view camera).
e) size - Switch the picture size (would be eventually forced to 640x480 when taking pictures).
f) delete - Clear all files that are saved in the Telecam folder.
