Prajna Paramita Heart Sutra Introduction:
"Maha Prajna Paramita Heart Sutra", also known as "Prajna Paramita Heart Sutra", referred to as "Prajna Heart Sutra" and "Heart Sutra", is an extremely important classic in the Prajna Sutra series. The "Heart Sutra" is concise and rich in meaning, broad and profound, with a clear outline and straightforward definition of the "first truth". It shows the essence of Prajna, and is a daily recitation for Mahayana Buddhist monks and Buddhists at home. The phrase "Lexus is emptiness, and emptiness is form" comes from this scripture.
The Prajna Sutra and the various Prajna were declared by the Buddha during the second revolving phaseless Dharma Wheel, which is the deep Dharma of Mahayana Buddhism. It is often mentioned in Tibetan scriptures: "Among the eighty-four thousand methods that the Buddha says, the Prajna method is the most outstanding."
The connotation of the Prajna Sutra is based on emptiness. Through the understanding of emptiness, the hindrances can be cut off and the Nirvana of Theravada can be obtained, that is, the bodhi status of sound, hearing, and karmic enlightenment. Coupled with the fulfillment of merits and resources, one can completely remove the barriers of knowledge and obtain the Nirvana of Mahayana, that is, the supreme level of Bodhi attainment. Because it is understood that emptiness runs through the three vehicles, Xie Kong is called the mother of the three vehicles, and the Prajna Sutra that interprets it is also called the mother Prajna. The Prajna Paramita Heart Sutra is the heart of the Great Prajna Sutra. All the essence of the Prajna Sutra is located in this sutra, hence the name "Heart Sutra".
