Review: Question Everything dresses for girls who like dressing up every day

When I met a parenting expert earlier this year, I asked if she had any great advice for me to avoid arguments when trying to get three-year-old Big Girl dressed in the mornings. I explained that she only wanted to wear big dresses, while I sometimes wanted her to wear other things, such as warmer clothes to be outside in cold weather, or shorts on a hot summer day. I soon realised I had it all wrong though. My preschooler might well feel more comfortable wearing a dress, and she needs to be given some level of independence.

With this newfound realisation that Big Girl simply needs a variety of dresses in her wardrobe to make us both happy, I was excited to receive two samples from Question Everything, a brand specialising in hand-smocked cotton dresses in modern and fun
prints.

For mums like me who need to stock up on dresses suitable to wear to anything from running around on the playground to a Sunday dinner with relatives, I think Question Everything is a useful brand to know.

I particularly like the London Girls dress (now £30.99) from Question Everything (pictured left), as this denim-style smocked dress, which ties at the back, boasts puff sleeves, a beautiful birds print fabric that feels relatively soft, and quirky buttons with red details at the back. Big Girl wears the London dress with a grey cardigan over, and it makes a cute everyday outfit for nursery school, but is equally sweet to wear on weekends.

Question Everything also has a selection of long-sleeved dresses, and Big Girl has paired the Iggy Dress, which is in a rusty red colour, with a Dixon and Daughter faux fur gilet (see picture at the top) she received to review last year. She always wears thermal tops underneath, and then she’s good to go even in the chilly and windy weather we’re experiencing now.

With a collection of dresses in fun prints and machine washable cotton fabrics, I think the affordable Question Everything dresses are great for everyday wear–even when there’s a stop at the playground on the agenda.

Question Everything dresses are made in the Philippines, where the founder grew up before moving to London, and a percentage of each sale goes to Childhope Asia, which seeks to support and secure justice for street and working children in the Philippines.
