Kính chào các Tăng Ni, Phật Tử trên khắp thế giới. Tụng kinh là đọc một cách thành kính những lời đức Phật đã dạy trong kinh điển, hợp với chân lý và căn cơ của chúng sinh. Đồng thời để cho tâm và khẩu được hợp nhất vào câu kinh, tiếng Pháp của Phật.
Theo giáo lý đạo Phật thì tụng kinh là để cầu an và cầu siêu. Do đó, tụng bộ kinh nào cũng được vì kinh Phật nào cũng có tác dụng phá trừ mê mờ, khai mở tâm trí sáng suốt cho chúng sinh, nếu chúng ta chí thành đọc tụng.
Mục đích tụng kinh là một phương pháp tu nhằm ôn lại lời Phật dạy, đồng thời để ba nghiệp được thanh tịnh và tụng kinh cũng rất có phước báu, gọi là “minh Phật chi lý” hiểu rõ chân lý của Đức Phật dạy gì trong kinh sau đó áp dụng tu tập theo lời dạy của Phật.
Mặt khác, về chùa tụng kinh có chư Tăng, có đông Phật tử tụng kinh trầm hùng, tác động mạnh vào tâm thức của mình, làm cho sức mạnh tâm linh vững mạnh, cảm thấy niềm an lạc và tuyệt nhiên sẽ không có hôn trầm, không có giải đãi.
Tại sao ta phải tụng kinh và có lợi ích gì?
Đạo Phật xuất hiện ở thế gian vì sứ mệnh làm nhẹ bớt những thương đau, và hướng dẫn con người trong việc kiến tạo một đời sống an lạc. Căn cứ trên nền tảng từ bi và trí tuệ. Vì vậy trong tam tạng giáo điển hay nói một cách khác, là cả một hệ thống giáo lý bao gồm mọi lãnh vực triết học, y học, dược học, văn học, tâm lý học v.v … và có vô số pháp môn để chúng ta thực hành và đạt đến quả vị giác ngộ. Kinh Phật có công năng khai mở trí tuệ, phá trừ mê mờ cho nên tụng kinh rất lợi ích:
- Tụng kinh để thâu nhiếp sáu căn và làm cho ba nghiệp được thuần tịnh, không có cơ hội tạo các nghiệp bất thiện.
- Đạo tràng nhờ đó mà được thanh tịnh trang nghiêm.
- Gia đình nhờ thế mà được an lạc và hòa thuận.
- Tĩnh thức người chung quanh bằng lời kinh tiếng mõ.
- Nhờ tụng kinh mà thông hiểu giáo lý và thực hành đúng chánh pháp.
