The origin of the universe is described in the Qur'an in the following verse:


When referring to the sun and moon in the Qur'an, it is affirmed that each moves in a particular orbit or path.

"And He has created night and day, sun and moon. Each of them is circulating in the orbit. "(Qur'an, 21:33)

    It is also stated in another verse that the sun is not silent, but moves in a certain path:

"And the sun runs in its circulation. Thus is the decree of the Almighty, the Knower. "(Qur'an, 36:38)

    The entire universe is filled with trajectories and paths like this, expressed in the Qur'an as follows:

"For the sake of the heavens that have a way." (Qur'an, 51: 7)

    In the Qur'an, which was revealed 14 centuries ago when astronomy was still underdeveloped, the expansion of the universe was described as follows:

"And the heavens We built with power (We) and indeed We really expanded them." (Qur'an, 51:47)

    Form of planet Earth

He created the heavens and the earth with the right (purpose); He closed the night over the day and closed the day over the night ... "(Qur'an, 39: 5)

    In the Qur'an, Allah directs our attention to the very interesting nature of the sky:

"And We made the heavens as a preserved roof, while they turned away from all the signs (the power of God) that were in them." (Qur'an, 21:32)

    Perfectly organized solar system

Surely God holds back the heavens and the earth so that they don't disappear; and indeed if both will disappear no one can hold them apart from God. Verily, He is Forgiving, Forgiving. (Surat Faathir, 35: 41)

    The 11th verse of Ath Thaariq in the Qur'an, refers to the function of "returning" the sky.

"For the sake of the sky containing rain." (Qur'an, 86:11)
The word interpreted as "containing rain" in the Qur'anic translation also means "sending back" or "returning".
The origin of the universe is described in the Qur'an in the following verse:
"He is the creator of heaven and earth." (Qur'an, 6: 101)

The information given by the Qur'an is in full agreement with the discoveries of contemporary science.

The conclusion that astrophysics has now is that the whole universe, along with the dimensions of matter and time, came into being as a result of a giant explosion that occurred in an instant. This event, known as the "Big Bang", formed the entire universe about 15 billion years ago.

The universe is created from an absence as a result of the explosion of a single point. Modern scientists agree that the Big Bang is the only plausible explanation that can be proven about the origin of the universe and how the universe came into being.

Before the Big Bang, nothing was called material. From the condition of nothingness, where matter, energy, even time does not yet exist, and which is only able to be interpreted metaphysically, material, energy, and time are created. This fact, which modern physicists have just discovered, was reported to us in the Qur'an 1,400 years ago.
