Step By Step Guide To Install Pacific Crest Trail Xplorer using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.

This app is for viewing one of the most worlds most famous hiking trails. It is called the Pacific Crest Trail and starts in southern California and end in Canada. Data from Halfmile, NASA, USGS and NOAA are combined with Deep Learning Artificial Intelligence Swarm works together (CPU/Memory/Battery savings) to give you the best real experience and extend your smart phone capabilities. You can see the terrain in 3D and has additional map layers for Wildfires, clouds and the latest USGS topo. You can fly over the trail automatically using our "Trek" capability where you select one of the GPS Tracks from HalfMile and fly over that part of PCT as if you were there selecting the Altitude, Rate and tilt! A list of locations on the trail is provided and when one is selected zooms to that location. Embedded is the trail gpx files for the primary and alternate paths so you can view the trail path in 3D. It displays closest Earthquakes, Wildfires and the distance and direction to them. A list of closest Waypoints based off the famous Halfmile waypoint file is also provided. It uses GPS to locate your position and display closest Halfmile Waypoints and gives distances and direction from you. You also can load up your favorite gpx trail file and see it on the map and show your location on the trail as you hike it. In our web view you can select a HalfMile PCT map that is included with the app when you do not have internet access you can view it. Our Web page and Video viewer also includes on their list to selections covering First Aid, What to have for a hike or backpacking and web pages for Pacific Crest Trail Association to name a few.

It is best to use an internet connection through a WiFi router and we tested with 2GB of CPU Memory and large pixel count but it might be okay with 1GB and low pixel resolution but not with 500MB of CPU Memory. We support Android 4.4+.
