May Allah Azza wa Jalla make the preparation of this treatise sincere because of Him and useful, Allahumma aamin.

Ihsan for a Muslim is not just the main character he needs to have, he even sees it as part of his faith and religion, because there are three levels of religion, namely: Islam, Faith, and Ihsan. Ta'rif (definition) ihsan

Ihsan literally means to do good, the opposite of the word isaa'ah (to do bad). Meanwhile, in terms of ihsan, it means feeling the supervision of Allah both in secret and openly, both in speech and in deed. Therefore, he does good in the best way and seeks the pleasure of Allah. Ihsan's argument

Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'ala said,

"And do ihsanlah, verily Allah loves those who do ihsan." (Surah Al Baqarah: 195)

"Verily Allah told (you) to be fair and do ihsan," (QS. An Nahl: 90) The Messenger of Allah -peace and prayer of Allah be upon him- was once asked about ihsan by the angel Jibril 'alaihis salam, then He said,

“Ihsan is that you worship Allah as if you saw Him. If you don't feel that way, then (just know) He saw you. " (Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim)

Pillars Ihsan

Ihsan rukunnya one, namely someone worshiping Allah as if seeing Him, and if you can't feel that way, then feeling that He saw him.

Division of Ihsan

There are several kinds of Ihsan, namely:

1. Ihsan in worshiping Allah Ta'ala Ihsan in worshiping Allah Ta'ala is someone who performs worship both prayer, fasting, pilgrimage, and other worship properly by completing the conditions, pillars, sunnahs, and manners, and This will not be perfect unless he performs that worship by feeling under the supervision of Allah Ta'ala so that it is as if he sees Him, or at least feels that Allah Azza wa Jalla sees him. In this way, he can do ihsan in worship. Ihsan in worshiping Allah Ta'ala has two levels: First, the level of musyahadah, which is worshiping as if he saw Him. This level is higher, in which there is worship which is done with a sense of longing. Second, the level of iththila 'wal muraqabah, which is feeling watched over by Allah. In this stage there is worship with fear and anxiety. Both of these conditions can manifest sincerity in worshiping Allah Ta'ala. Including sincere perfection is someone trying to make his worship not seen by humans unless there are benefits, for example to teach others, to be followed, or to show Islamic syi'ar, and so on. And a Muslim in this regard sees what is more beneficial and useful in worship, then he does it.

2. Ihsan in terms of what we have, Namely giving things that are ma'ruf in terms of what we have. This can be done in four ways:

a. Treasure

For example: giving zakat, giving donations, giving charity which is obligatory and circumcision.

b. Position Example: giving syafa'at (helping others with their position).

c. Science for example: teaching religion and spreading knowledge to the servants of Allah both in terms of halaqah, special assemblies and in general by means of wisdom and does not trouble humans.

d. Example Agency: for example by helping others pick up goods, showing the way.
