About Maharaja
Bhakti Rasamrita Swami is a sannyasi in the Vaishnava tradition. He preaches the eternal message of Sanatana Dharma all over the world including India, Singapore, UK, USA, Australia, and Russia. He is presently one of the trustees of ISKCON India. He is a member of the Vrindavan Executive Board which oversees the management of ISKCON, Vrindavan. He has previously served as temple president of ISKCON, Chowpatty in Mumbai and ISKCON, Vrindavan.

He also oversees the management of ISKCON Belgaum where he is inspiring and nurturing a large community of local devotees to practice Krsna consciousness. In line with the principle of simple living and high thinking, he is actively involved in the development of a self- sufficient Vedic eco-village, 40 km from Belgaum, called “Gokuldham” spread over 450 acres of lush green forest.

He was born in the year 1962 in the city of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India and did his schooling in the cities of Kolkata and Mumbai. He completed his B.E. from M.S University, Baroda and MBA from Bombay University and worked for some time in a multinational bank in a management position.

Being deeply inspired by the teachings of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the Founder-Acharya of ISKCON, he decided to dedicate his life to propagate the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita and the Srimad Bhagavatam. He has served in many important projects of ISKCON and has been preaching the message of the Bhagavad Gita in many prestigious educational institutions all over India including the IITs.

As a Brahmachari in the ISKCON movement, he was known as Devamrita Dasa. Honoring his dedication and devotion to the mission of Srila Prabhupada, in March 2010, he was awarded the order of Sannyasa (renunciation) in ISKCON, with the title Bhakti Rasamrita Swami.
