Tentang sosok Das’ad Latif, ketua Ikatan Muda Da’i Profesional Sulsel masih hangat dalam ingatan. Pasalnya, selain karena sebelumnya sosok ini tidak lepas dari publikasi media saat menjadi calon Wakil Walikota Makassar, da’i kelahiran 1973 silam ini masih terus berada di tengah-tengah masyarakat memberi siraman rohani. Dan di momen HUT TNI yang jatuh hari ini, Sabtu, (5/10), Das’ad Latif berbagi kisah dengan pembaca Rakyat Sulsel Online. Diakui, dirinya pernah “memprotes” Tuhan lantaran tidak lulus masuk ke salah satu institusi berbaret di Indonesia ini, Diungkapkan, tahun 1993 lalu setamat dari jenjang SMA, bersama sejumlah rekannya mendaftar masuk AKABRI atau Akademi Angkatan Bersenjata Republik Indonesia untuk Angkatan Udara. Pendaftarannya saat itu di markas Ajudan Jenderal Kodam (Ajendam) VII Wirabuana di jl Garuda, Makassar.Das’ad mengaku bersemangat mendaftar bersama rekannya yang lain namun rejeki ternyata berkata lain. Lantaran ukuran tinggi badan yang minus 1 centimeter saja, dia dinyatakan tidak lulus. Artinya, gara-gara minus tinggi badan, sejumlah tahapan tes lainnya tidak sempat lagi diikuti untuk menembus dan membawa pulang surat kelulusan ke hadapan orang tua.
