In this post, I am going to show you how to install Robomow App on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install Robomow App using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "Robomow App" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

[Note 2] about Bluetooth: At the moment, support for Bluetooth is not available on BlueStacks. Hence, apps that require control of Bluetooth may not work on BlueStacks.

How to install Robomow App on Windows PC using NoxPlayer

  1. Download & Install NoxPlayer at: https://www.bignox.com. The installation is easy to carry out.
  2. Drag the APK/XAPK file to the NoxPlayer interface and drop it to install
  3. The installation process will take place quickly. After successful installation, you can find "Robomow App" on the home screen of NoxPlayer, just click to open it.

The Robomow App allows you to control your mower from the convenience of your smartphone. Mow those small patches located away from your main lawn and navigate from one garden to the other – effortlessly. All your settings on one convenient screen: adjust your lawn size settings, set your mower's weekly schedule and define your mowing zones… all from your mobile device.

Robomow App FAQ:

* Current Robomow App version asks permissions for making phone calls. This is a formal requirement to allow dialing (not making a direct call) the number of a local service station form inside the new Guided Setup tool.
* In some rear cases the app gets stuck with an empty screen. In such a case it is recommended to delete the account and reinstall the app.
* The Guided Setup tool is a BETA version, initially available in English only in the following markets: UK, Germany, Netherlands, Israel.
* If you're experiencing any technical issues with the Robomow App, please refer to "Mobile Application FAQ" page on Robomow website (https://support.robomow.com/hc/en-us/categories/200813811-Mobile-Application-FAQ).

Known issues:

* For Robomow RX models only:
-- When child protection is enabled, the messages from the mower will not be displayed in the app, unless the child protection is temporary released or disabled.
-- GSM module's settings are not available via the app
-- The automatic unlock of theft-protection doesn't always work. In such cases it is recommended to restart the app and connect to the mower again
* General:
-- If mower’s software version is older than 2016, then current Android version of Robomow App cannot connect to such mower while it’s in operation.
-- Some re-connection issues with a mower may occur. Most re-connection issues can be resolved by exiting the app and launching it again.
-- Some camera-related and graphical issues have been reported for the following devices: Nexus 7, Nexus 4, Samsung Tab S, Motorola Moto X, Sony Xperia.

From now, everyone with the app and RC mower, can enjoy a superior level of service thanks to the availability of the operational data from each and every mower to the service providers.
