Accuware Indoors app for Android

DESCRIPTION

If you are interested in experiencing high-accuracy indoor navigation, this app is for you. Find an area rich in Wi-Fi access points and/or iBeacons signals and delineate your own playground, where you can experience the app's ability to pinpoint the location of your phone or tablet. It takes three steps to set up your very own demonstration site:

1. select an area with plenty of Wi-Fi and/or iBeacons' signals (at least 4 or 5 signals)
2. train the site
3. and the app is ready to pinpoint your location and display it as you move about.

Training (i.e. fingerprinting) requires defining a path through the site, and then walking that path at a steady pace from beginning to end without stopping, while the app scans ambient signals to build a data set. Augmented by the device's internal sensors, this data will enable estimating your device's position.
Set up your demo site in an area with plenty of ambient Wi-Fi and iBeacons signals. Their density may affect the location accuracy you experience, but if the signals are plentiful, it should work fine.
If you plan to deploy iBeacons, what is their ideal placement? In a grid pattern, roughly 30 feet (10 meters) apart.

FEATURES

-- Training mode gives you the ability to define the training route through the demo site and then train the site.
-- Navigation mode, the app displays your location as you move around the trained area.

In summary, this app serves two purposes: Any user can demonstrate the indoor positioning capabilities of Accuware Indoors to implement location-aware services for mobile apps. Accuware B2B customers can activate the app's full features, enabling them to define multiple levels and upload their own floor plans or floor-plan tile layers.
