Early Formation of the Seljuq Bani
Bani Seljuq came from several small tribes of the Ghuz tribe in the Turkistan region. In the second, third and fourth centuries they moved west to Transoxiana and Khurasan. At that time they were not united. They were united by Seljuq ibn Tuqaq. Therefore, they are called the Saljuks. In the beginning Saljuk ibn Tuqaq Rahimahullah served Bequ, the king of the Turkoman region which included areas around the Arabian sea and the Caspian Sea. Seljuq Rahimahullah was appointed as the leader of the army. The influence of Seljuq Rahimahullah is so great that King Bequ is worried that his position is threatened. King Bequ intends to get rid of Seljuq.
But before the plan was realized, Seljuq Rahimahullah found out. He did not take a stand against or rebel, but with his followers he migrated to the LAND area, or also called Wama Wara'a al-Nahar, a Muslim area in the Transoxiana region (between the rivers of Umm Driya and Syrdarya or Sihun). They inhabited this area with the permission of the Samaniyah Daula rulers who controlled the area. They converted to Islam with the Sunni Salafy manhaj. When the Samaniyah Daula was defeated by the Ghaznavid Daula, Seljuq Rahimahullah claimed to be free. He succeeded in conquering the territory previously controlled by the Samaniyah state. After Seljuq Rahimahullah died, the leadership was continued by his son, Israil Ibn Seljuq and then his successor Mikail Ibn Israil Ibn Seljuq, but unfortunately his brother could be captured by the Ghaznavid rulers.

The next leadership was held by Thugril Bek Rahimahullah. This last Saljuk leader defeated Mas'ud al-Ghaznawi, ruler of the Ghaznavid dynasty, in 429 H / 1036 AD, and forced him to leave the Khurasan region. After that success, Thugril proclaimed the founding of the Seljuq daulah. In the year 432 H / 1040 AD this daulah received recognition from the Abbasid caliph in Baghdad. At the time of this Thugril Bek leadership, the Seljuq dynasty entered Baghdad in the place of the Banu Buwaih. Previously, Thugril Rahimahullah succeeded in seizing the regions of Marwadan Naisabur from the power of Ghaznawiyah, Balkh, Urjan, Tabaristan, Khawarizm, Rayy, and Isfahan.
The position and position of the caliph was better after the Seljuq dynasty came to power; at least his authority in the field of religion was returned after some time "deprived" of the Shiites. Although Baghdad can be controlled, it is not used as the seat of government. Thugrul Bek Rahimahullah chose the city of Naisabur and then the city of Rayy as the center of his government. The small Daula who previously separated themselves, after being conquered by the Seljuqs, re-acknowledged the position of Baghdad, even they continued to maintain the integrity and security of the Abbasids to stem the Shi'ite ideology and develop the Sunni Salafy manhaj adhered to by them.
The saljuk are a tribe of the Turks who in the days of Sultan Mahmud Sabaktakin, after they embraced Islam, they were given the land where they lived, after they left their old homeland.

This tribe came from a Turkish nation called Gez, a descendant of Seljuq ibn Taklak, as long as he descended from Turkistan under the command of the Turkish king named Bigu.
