Glucocalc is a glucose calculator designed to help you keep track of your progress in maintaining proper control of your blood glucose levels. By entering in your average blood glucose values (eAG) you can calculate an estimate of your projected HbA1c. You can also derive an eAG from an HbA1c input. Glucocalc outputs results in both NGSP (National Glycohemoglobin Standardization Program) and IFCC (The International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine) standards (mg/dl, %) and (mmol/L, mmol/mol).

About HbA1c

Glycated hemoglobin (hemoglobin A1c) is a form of hemoglobin that is measured primarily to identify the average plasma glucose concentration over prolonged periods of time

A high A1c represents poor glucose control.

However, a good HbA1c can still hide a history of recent hypoglycemia, or even spikes of hyperglycemia.

Regular blood glucose monitoring is still the best method for the analysis of overall vascular health with respect to blood sugar control.
