“Blacksmith Festival AR” is an interactive entertaining and educational quest game devoted to the international festival of blacksmith art “Blacksmith Festival”, which takes place annually in Ivano-Frankivsk. This is a program of augmented reality that in the form of a series of cartoons-sketches acquaints you with blacksmithing but is not limited to it.

Main Aspects of the Game:

• search for ornaments and paper stickers in the city;
• scan them with the camera of our program;
• enjoy the cartoons discovered while scanning.

Ornaments are stencilled on the buildings and sidewalks near places of interest and blacksmith sculptures of Ivano-Frankivsk. The approximate areas are marked on the map (it is in the program). All found and scanned cartoons are saved on the panel “Achievements”. The purpose of this exciting quest game is to find all ornaments and scan the cartoons encrypted in them.
Bonuses:

• in addition to the main cartoons devoted to blacksmith art you can also search for paper stickers with the encrypted video-art from VJ group CUBE – they are placed near the festival locations;
• some of the ornaments are printed on the festival promo materials.
