In this post, I am going to show you how to install UDISE Elementary on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install UDISE Elementary using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "UDISE Elementary" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

About NIEPA and U-DISE
The National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), a Deemed to be University, established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, is a premier organization dealing with teaching, capacity building and research in planning and management of education.

In 1994, in the context of implementation of the District Primary Education Programme (DPEP), NIEPA designed and developed a school based computerized information system at the request of the MHRD, GoI. Subsequently, he Education Management Information System (EMIS) developed and implemented by NIEPA came to be known as the District Information System for Education (DISE). Now, this system has been merged with the Secondary Education Management Information System (SEMIS) and is known as the Unified District Information System for Education (U-DISE).

The U-DISE is serving as the major source of data for district planning, allocation of resources, monitoring and assessment of performance of the school education system and various central sector flagship education reform programmes like the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) and Teacher Education Programme. It is also helping in monitoring progress in the implementation of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act 2009.

About mobile app

This mobile application provides a quick and an easy access to information on 97 Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Elementary level schools based on Unified District Information System for Education (U-DISE). Indicators are related to school and facilities, enrolment, teacher and outcome indicators. KPIs of result framework document of Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan are part of the data visualization

Trends (2011-12 to 2016-17) of KPIs and disaggregated information by management of schools, gender, social groups and location has been provided. Information is available for various administrative levels such as national, state, district and block. After the selection of indicator and subgroup user can visualize information in charts and maps as per his/her choice and easily share through email or social media to any other user.
