The Urban result is an urban forestry project founded in Bauru-SP which has numerous supporters, a history of many seedlings already planted, actions and collective plantations already held in other cities, hundreds of supporters in social networks and an expansion plan to Brazil.

We are activists who share a passion for nature, a proposal for enhancement of urban public space and a strong desire to change the world.

* What do we do?

We work with environmental education and awareness of the community, and periodically gather volunteers to collective planting of fruit trees in public spaces. We have very positive repercussions in the media, many supporters on social networks, great popular mobilization and hundreds of trees already planted in Bauru.

* Why plant trees in urban areas?

Trees in urban areas directly contribute to increased health and quality of life, also offering food, shelter and shade. Urban trees act as natural regulatory climate and rain, help in reducing pollution, attract birds and other numerous advantages.

* Urban Fruit is a reference in urban trees!

The project is in great influence, growing mobilization, projection and visibility. We are transforming the Urban Fruit on a regional and later national reference for the planting of trees in urban settings, but we currently have a limited role as pay almost everything with their own resources.

* Project History

Founded at the beginning of 2014 in Bauru-SP (350 km from the state capital), the project is totally independent, has some supporters but until then fully funded by its members, and aims to encourage and facilitate the planting of fruit trees for cities respecting the specific characteristics of each plant formation, thereby reducing the heat to people with more shadows, providing better quality of life in urban public space, expanding the offer of regional fruits and contributing to the development of an environment that favoring the increase of bird species in the urban context. "We want to inspire individuals and groups of people to plant trees in their cities. The results achieved are beyond our initial expectations, and we are currently working hard for the future to be able to and encourage achieve also finance fruit seedlings plantations by across the country, "said Miguel Axcar, project founder.

The initiative began with the brothers Miguel Axcar and Khalil Axcar, with its passenger car full of tools and fruit tree seedlings, driving through the city of Bauru-SP looking for spaces where missing trees, found many, and the project grows rapidly since then. Currently the structure is already much better, it has the support of Soma Institute of Bauru Municipality and other small business supporters to serve a snack to tree planters. It also has numerous supporters, a history of hundreds of seedlings already planted, actions and collective plantations already held in other cities, hundreds of supporters in social networks and an expansion plan for Brazil.
