The "SOCIAL CENTER PADRE PEDRO LEONARDI" in the Old Restinga, Porto Alegre, was created on April 21, 2005 by the parish priest of the Church of Our Lady Aparecida da Restinga, Father. Claudionir Ceron. We are a non-profit institution, dedicated to the social inclusion of children, adolescents and adults from low-income, at-risk and vulnerability. Here, there are educational, cultural, sports and social programs.

The Parish of Our Lady Aparecida da Restinga was founded on October 12, 2001 by the then Metropolitan Archbishop Grings Dadeus. On October 12, 2008, the current building was inaugurated. The parish is the sponsor of the Social Center Fr. Peter Leonardi, created in 2005 and focuses on promoting projects and Social and Educational Programs, in partnership with public and private institutions, to help children, adolescents and needy adults. The Claudionir Ceron priest is pastor since its foundation.
