Ligue 1, Ligue 1 Conforama also called for reasons of sponsorship with Conforama, is a French professional league for men's football clubs. At the top of the French football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. Administered by the Professional Football League, the Ligue 1 is contested by 20 clubs and operates on a system of promotion and relegation with Ligue 2.

The seasons go from August to May Teams play 38 games each (playing two teams in the league twice, home and away), totaling 38 games into the season. Most games are played on Saturdays and Sundays, with a few games played during weekday evenings. The game is regularly suspended the last weekend before Christmas for two weeks before returning in the second week of January. Current champions Paris Saint-Germain, who won his seventh title in the 2017-18 season.
