In this post, I am going to show you how to install Art&Smarts on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install Art&Smarts using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "Art&Smarts" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

[Note 2] about Bluetooth: At the moment, support for Bluetooth is not available on BlueStacks. Hence, apps that require control of Bluetooth may not work on BlueStacks.

Art & Smarts is the perfect tool for tourists who want to explore a city of art and cultural heritage and feel at home even when it is elsewhere. It 'a "container" for guides who accompanied the tourists during their trips becoming a true "Cicero Multimedia".

The application provides a multitude of texts, images, video, audio and multimedia content that enrich experience and cultural background of the tourist. The information contained in the application are grouped into editable travel guides to the middle of the back-end platform https://www.artandsmarts.com for use by private individuals, associations, public administrations. The user, after choosing a tour guide of your interest, you can navigate through the content offered inside.

Proposals attractions will include: A brief description, complete descriptions, photo galleries, one or more media video, one or more audio content, one or more video guides LIS. All text and multimedia content can be offered in different languages. The application chooses as default language that of the mobile device. The user can still change the language of choosing a guide among those offered directly from the menu.

The application is equipped with a function that allows the user, through the camera, to scan the QR Code posted near tourist attractions. Through this function, the application will show the user all the information connected to a work of art without having to search for them by browsing the entire contents of the guide. The camera will be used exclusively for the QR Code reading.
You may download all necessary content of the tour guides so you can enjoy content even when the smartphone is in the absence of cellular or WiFi coverage.
