GrowingDeer.tv was created by Dr. Grant Woods as a means to share his love for managing and growing white-tailed deer. Grant’s passions in life are God, family and hunting. Grant has been hunting since the third grade and has degrees from Southwest Missouri State University, University of Georgia, and Clemson University. His goal is to provide current, useful information about deer hunting and deer management in an on-demand video format.
Viewers may be familiar with Dr. Woods from his frequent appearances on outdoor hunting shows like Bass Pro’s The King of Bucks, Mossy Oak’s Hunting the Country, Drury Outdoors Dream Season and other popular cable hunting shows. Readers of popular hunting magazines have most likely read his contributions in magazines such as Outdoor Life, Petersen’s Bow Hunting, North American Hunter, Deer and Deer Hunting, Quality Whitetails, and more. Dr. Woods has been described as “the expert’s expert on deer hunting and management.” Dr. Woods has been long recognized as a leader in the white-tailed deer hunting world. His honors include recognition from the Quality Deer Management Association with their Joe Hamilton Lifetime Achievement Award and their Al Brothers Professional Deer Manager of the Year.
