Bible White Noise: Every chapter of the Bible read at the same time

Imagine standing in a room with enough people to read each chapter of the Christian Bible at the exact same time.

About this project
How the idea came about
Main app developer Sean Pruitt says he can’t wholly take credit for Bible White Noise, attributing the idea to a life-altering religious experience that came about while he was praying in the woods during his most desperate time of personal need.

“I had this incredible vision of each chapter of the Bible being converted to sound waves and flowing as one,” says Sean, explaining that he was only following this vision in developing the idea for Bible White Noise. The vision occurred to Sean in 2012.
A resident of Wyoming, Sean is a successful Christian entrepreneur who spends his free time working with at-risk youth.

What is the ‘white noise’ of Bible White Noise composed of?

The white noise of the Bible White Noise app is genuinely made up of the 1,189 chapters of the Bible being read simultaneously in the original Hebrew and Greek. Imagine 1,189 individuals each reading a different chapter of the 929 chapters of the Old Testament and 260 Chapters of the New Testament in the same room at the same time. The Scriptures have been mixed together in such a manner as to create white noise that includes the entire Word of God every five minutes. In one night, you can listen to the Bible in its entirety up to 100 times.

Why white noise?

White noise is considered to have legitimate uses as an aid for relaxation, treatment for tinnitus, and as a study aid to help improve focus and concentration. The app developers invite interested persons to review the relevant scientific literature for themselves and draw their own conclusions.

Anecdotally, the developers have found Bible White Noise to have beneficial effects. For example, a woman struggling with stress-induced asthma reports her condition has been improved by listening. The app developers are interested in questions of how white noise may protect against radiation or harmful frequencies from electronics, etc.

Is there Scriptural support for such a project?

“His body also was like beryl, his face had the appearance of lightning, his eyes were like flaming torches, his arms and feet like the gleam of polished bronze, and the sound of his words like the sound of a tumult.” (Daniel 10:6)

“Tumult” is defined by the Oxford Dictionary as “a loud, confused noise, especially one caused by a large mass of people.” The simultaneous reading of the Bible’s 1,189 different chapters naturally produces such a joyful tumult.

Additionally, the communication of God’s Word through both vocalization and listening is a point emphasized throughout the Bible.
