WHEN BUYING A USED CAR
Use the CrashScan App with an OBD2 Bluetooth adapter to scan the car's computers to flag, capture and interpret stored prior accident data. Don't run the risk of costly hidden problems. A diagnostic "CrashScan" completes an Accident History Report.

CONSUMER PROTECTION
A "CrashScan" is a consumer protection diagnostic tool that can:
- detect unreported accidents
- detect accidents with a lag in reporting to Accident History databases
- be helpful when an Accident History Report indicates "Accident" with no context of severity

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
If the "CrashScan" detects an accident, the app will report impact severity, orientation (front/rear/side impact), and provide AI context, such as:
- if the accident was: minor, moderate, or severe
- provide an estimated damage repair amount (economic cost in $)
- indicate whether there was likely structural crush damage
- provide injury risk thresholds (whiplash, injury duration)

*the artificial intelligence algorithms consider the stored delta-v acceleration values, scientific articles and databases such as the National Automotive Sampling System (NASS)

USED CAR DEALER?
"CrashScan" on your lot, at trade-in or at any auction. Within 60 seconds, you'll get a confirmation report, indicating either:

CLEAN SCAN or ACCIDENT DETECTED
A "clean scan" means there is no accident data stored on the car's computer; but this information must be used in conjunction with an Accident History Report such as CARFAX or VinAudit Report, since in severe/salvage or similar accidents, the car's computer module may be replaced. A pre-purchase inspection is always recommended.

VEHICLE SUPPORT
Over 3000 unique year/make/models are supported, including most: Chrysler(2008+), Ford(2003+), GMC(1998+), Toyota(2003+), Honda(2012+), Nissan(2010+), VW/Audi/Mercedes(2010+), Mazda(2012+), BMW(2012+), Hyundai/Kia(coming soon)

*The CrashScan App requires the OBDLink LX adapter (or MX version for GMC or some Ford vehicles). Any OBD2 adapter will work for Toyota.

VEHICLE VALUE
A car's history affects its value. Proof of an accident can help in making a purchase decision, or in negotiating value for a trade-in, or during a pre/post-purchase inspection.

THE UNREPORTED ACCIDENT ISSUE
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration estimates more than 10 million crashes go unreported each year. An unreported accident will not show up in a CARFAX or other accident history report. What that means to you is that there are a lot of cars that have been in accidents, sometimes severe, that are being sold with a “CLEAN CARFAX", though they may have had major repairs before being put on a lot. Having the CrashScan Accident Detector in your pocket is the perfect complement to the reported data found on a CARFAX report.
