Step By Step Guide To Install Farnsworth CVD Scoring using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. This an beta release of the Farnsworth CVD Scoring application. The purpose of the application is to score these CVD tests:
- Farnsworth D-15 Standard
- L'Andthony D-15 Desaturated
- Farnsworth Munsell 100 Hue

The limit to the numbet of subjects and test is the space available on the device. For the D-15 test the test results include both the Vingrys/King-Smith analytic scores, and a confusion diagram. The FM-100 Hue test only provides a single score for all caps. It does not score separate trays, or provide a graphic at this time.

The results of a test may be save to a PDF document that includes all the test data, including the confusion graph. The confusion graph can also be save as a separate JPEG file.

The application provides an option to install an example database. The Options menu provides a way to flush the example database, or install it again.

This application was written entirely in Kotlin. Anko was used for the dialog boxes. Room was used for the database.
