Solar self-consumption calculator, is a theoretical and practical application of photovoltaic solar energy, designed to calculate photovoltaic installations, connection to the network with the sale of surpluses, or independence from the electrical network with batteries.

INCLUDES PEAK SOLAR HOURS (PSH) OF THE MAIN SPANISH CITIES.

It will allow you to know all the basic components of an autonomous photovoltaic installation, and to carry out the necessary calculations to disconnect from the electrical network, dimensioning all the components of the installation in a personalized way or helping you to choose one of the many kits available on the market.

It is valid for homes and small businesses, but it is not dimensioned for large industries and powers.

Reasons to switch to photovoltaics:

- You will be generating clean and environmentally friendly energy

- Recovery of the investment made, in the form of savings by paying less on your electricity bill or not paying at all.

- Do not depend on electricity companies and their constant increases in the price of electricity

Steps to perform the calculations:

1) Calculate the peak solar hours, you just have to select its location and the angle at which the photovoltaic panels are going to be placed. With this step you can already calculate what the energy production of the panels will be.

2) Photovoltaic power calculator, enter the electricity consumption that we need, this data can be obtained from the electricity company bill or by using the electricity consumption calculator. With this step, the minimum power necessary for the consumption we need is calculated, and the energy production of every month is indicated.

Only for isolated installations.
3) Now that we know the power that we must install and the consumption that we need, we will proceed to calculate the number of batteries and how they will be connected.

4) Enter the data of the panel and the MPPT regulator, and here you will get the number of panels, the information on how to connect them.

5) Calculate the section of the cables.

6) At this point all the installation data are already calculated, the following steps are optional, it is about entering the physical dimensions of the panel and the mounting surface to know in which position the largest number of photovoltaic panels fits.

And the other optional point is the calculation of the projection of shadows, to know the separation that should exist between the different rows of photovoltaic panels.
In this case it is only necessary if the panels are placed at a different angle to the mounting surface.
