Polyneuropathies are a frequent and complex neurological disease. They are disorders that affect the peripheral nerves and are characterized by a variable combination of changes in sensitive type, motor or autonomic.

The diagnostic approach is difficult due to the variety of patterns of clinical presentation and especially the multitude of possible causes of peripheral neuropathy.

Therefore, we consider useful management algorithm for diagnosis from the patient history, conduct syndromic diagnosis of polyneuropathy, establish the definition of it (involvement of motor, sensory or autonomic fibers, symmetrical or asymmetrical pattern, involvement proximal or distal, etc.), have an orientation of the various etiologies for the clinical pattern objectified the patient and then a guide to perform diagnostic tests in each case.
