The Linde Pre-Operational Check app simplifies the forklift truck check. The employee is able to check the condition of the equipment prior to operation using a simple digital questionnaire. The truck check also functions as a form of access control. The truck can only be started once the employee’s assessment of it has found no faults and all mandatory questions have been answered.

Access control
The truck is connected to the app via NFC. The truck can only be started once the visual inspection of it has shown there to be no serious faults.

Truck check
A digital checklist is used to record and document the condition of trucks prior to starting work. The employee answers the questions with either ‘YES’ or ‘NO’. Depending on the answer given, the employee then moves on to the next question, is required to submit a photo, or the truck is shut down. Test results are transmitted digitally, which cuts down on paperwork and makes archiving simpler.

Documentation
Photo documentation is taken of any problems or truck damage, and this can then be forwarded directly to the fleet manager.

Work safety
Only after a successful check can the truck be started. This increases operational safety.

Customised checklist
The catalogue of questions available in the app can be adapted to suit the customer’s individual requirements. The fleet manager can select a different type and number of questions according to the area of application and usage intensity.

Once the checklist is ready, a QR code is generated which can be saved as a PDF along with the questions and printed out. The driver can then use the QR code to download the checklist in the Pre-Operational Check app.

Multiple languages
The questions and prompts are available in multiple languages. The driver can select the language they speak and the fleet manager can be confident that the questions have not been misunderstood due to language barriers.
