The Trekarta app is designed for hiking, cycling, geocaching, off-roading and other outdoor activities. The app uses offline maps, so you don't need an internet connection. You can easily create points and share them with others. The application allows you to record the track of your journey, including in the background. This way you will never get lost and can later see where you have been.

Offline maps

The Trekarta uses vector maps based on OpenStreetMap, they take up little space, do not require a constant Internet connection and are constantly updated by the participants. Maps contain detailed topographic data with elevation contours. Some map elements can be filtered for a cleaner look. Trekarta supports terrain shading.

Hiking

Hike mode focuses on trails and paths. It visualizes the difficulty and visibility of the trail and displays hiking routes. Special OSMC symbols are also displayed to help identify the selected route.

Bicycles

Cycling mode displays the cycling infrastructure. It shows bike trails and visualizes the difficulty and visibility of mountain biking trails.

Skis and skates

The ski mode on the lightweight winter map displays almost all types of skiing activities: downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, walking and mountain hiking. In addition, areas for freestyle, ice skating and sledding are displayed.

Off-road

Unpaved roads, winter roads and ice crossings are displayed in a certain way. Roads for all-wheel drive vehicles only have special markings. Brods are displayed on all types of roads, even the main ones.

Dots

Points can be easily created in the app. You can set movement to a point, as well as share them with others.

Tracks

The trackcard is designed to record the tracks of your travels. Just press the button to start recording, and then press again to stop. You can exit the application if you do not need to look at the map, the track will be recorded in the background.

What is missing in the Lite version

Compared to the paid Trekart app, this light version lacks:
• support for external files KML and GPX
• support for your own maps in sqlite or mbtiles format
• plugin support
• full screen mode
• night mode
• extended location information

Also, updates to the Lite version are published later than the full version.
