The Holy Quran says in Surah-Al-Isra, 17:82: And We send down of the Qur’an that which is healing and mercy for the believers….

Islam hasn't prohibited the use of medicine to cure illnesses. In fact, the teachings of the Holy Prophet (SAW) encouraged us to use medicine to cure ailments and tell us that Allah has created a cure for all ailments. The condition Islam imposes on the treatment of an illness is that it should not be haram.

Treatment using The Holy Quran is referred to as “Ruqya”, which can be used to treat all forms of ailments. It is a prayer for healing. Before seeking a cure from Ruqya, a Muslim should have a firm belief that Allah has all the power and all illnesses can be cured if Allah wills.

Sound has been known to affect the molecules of water. A Japanese Scientist performed an experiment on water and observed the behavior of water molecules when subjected to different sounds. The sound waves emanating when The Holy Quran is recited causes the water molecules to change their shape and offers healing properties to the body.
