I heard this prayer I remembered my hometown (Tarakan). But nowadays, it is very rare for me to hear it in this city (Yogyakarta). Almost never. Usually this prayer is echoed before the call to prayer. As a sign that the time of the call to prayer will arrive, so we can prepare ourselves earlier to go to the mosque. Even though it was not echoed directly by a bilal.

However, this prayer provides an opportunity so that we can immediately get ready to go to the mosque before the call to prayer reverberates. From another blog I got, this prayer is a poem by Syaikh Mahmud al Khusairi which contains praise to the Prophet Muhammad SAW. And what is usually played in mosques and mosques is the chanting of Syaikh Abdul Aziz from Egypt (Correct Me If I'm Wrong).

In some other areas they usually echo this prayer before dawn (dawn prayer). But in my village, I usually echo this prayer every time before the call to prayer.
