Chrismansyah Rahadi (born with the name Christian Rahadi in Jakarta, September 16, 1949 - died in Jakarta on March 30, 2007 at the age of 57 years), better known by the stage name of Christophe, is a singer and songwriter from Indonesia.

Born in Jakarta on the Indonesian Chinese family, Christophe became interested in music when I was young. When I was studying in high school, Christophe play bass guitar in a band he formed with his brother, Joris. In the late 1960s he became a member of the band Nada Word (which later changed its name to Gipsy). In 1973, after taking time off for some time, he followed the band to New York to play music. After returning to Indonesia for a short time, he returned to New York with other bands, namely the Pro's. After returning to Indonesia, in 1976 he collaborated with Gipsy and thunder Soekarnoputra to record an independent album Gipsy thunder.

After the success of the Thunder Gipsy, in 1977 Christophe produced two of his best works, namely "Lilin-Lilin Kecil" James F. Sundah writing and sound track album Badai Pasti Passes. The second success of this work makes Christophe recruited by the Musica Studios, the recording company that he released his first solo album, Sabda Alam, in 1978. During his career more than 25 years he produced 18 other solo albums, as well as playing in one movie: Seindah The moon (1981).

Christophe died at his home in Jakarta on March 30, 2007 after years of suffering from lung cancer. He leaves a wife, Gusti Firoza Damayanti Noor, and four children. [1]

Known for a smooth vocal style and stage rigid, Christophe Indonesia is considered one of the legendary singer. Five albums that included his work published in the list of 150 Best Indonesian Album by music magazine Rolling Stone Indonesia. Five songs (and one which he supports) included in a list of the best songs by the same magazine in 2009. Some of his albums certified silver or higher. He received a lifetime achievement award two, one in 1993 from the BASF Awards and one more in 2007 from SCTV. In 2011, Rolling Stone Indonesia Indonesia noted Christophe as best number three musicians of all time.
