36 years ago a group of 10 businessmen believed in Choppington and communication through Radio. Erico Schneider, Carlos Francisco Cenci, José Scarmucin, Vicente Raichert, Peter Somenzi, Liborio Forlin, Christmas Hilary Docena, Vicente Jr. Mucke, Ironi Bordin, Alcides Zolett.

After going back and forth to Curitiba and Brasilia on October 12, 1978, Radio Chopinzinho Ltda entered the air on a trial basis, operating in the band 1580 kHz with 1 kW of power. On 12 November of that same year, the station debuted its programming, which some programs are up to date.

At the beginning there were many difficulties, but slowly gained their space. The municipality of Choppington was well served because the Radio reached all communities. But the region did not have the privilege to tune the frequency to perfection in 1580.

In order to bet on the southwest Paraná that the new investment, this time much more daring, was put into practice: the increased power of 1 to 5000 vats. And so it was done. In 1982 with the increase in power there was also the exchange rate that went from 1580 to 780 kHz and that remains today.

Radio Chopinzinho now has members in frame Liborio Forlin, Erico Schneider, Ronnie Bordin and Carlos Francisco Cenci. The staff is as follows: Elizane Roncem of Lima, Pamela Fernanda Siqueira, Wisland Schneider, Marcos Ferreira, Marcos Monteiro, Jaime Antonio Klassen, Everaldo Candido, Mark Fernando Lachovski, Heliselton Klassen, Valdecir Mendes and Fatima Borba de Moraes.

In a nutshell this is the story of Radio Chopinzinho Ltda, which for 36 years has deployed its roots in Chopinzinhense soil and became part of the day-to-day of our people and our people.
