The United Nations Charter is an international treaty founder of the organization, which forms the basis of its internal constitution. The document was signed on 26 June 1945 at the United Nations Conference on International Organization at the Auditorium Veterans (now the Herbst Theater), the Memorial Veterans of War in San Francisco, California, United States and was signed by 50 of the 51 member States originally represented (Poland, the other original member, who was not represented at the conference, he signed two months later).
