Suvorov military school (SVU) is a specialized military educational institution for school — age youth.For 2016 in the Russian Federation there are 23 Suvorov military schools and Nakhimov naval school. Also Suvorov military schools include the Moscow military music school. They are part of the network of pre-University educational institutions of the Ministry of defense of Russia, which also includes presidential cadet schools and military corps; 3 schools for gifted children — Engineering school Of the air force Academy named after N. A. Zhukovsky and Yu. Gagarin, school of IT-technologies of military Academy of communication named after S. M. Budyonny and Sports school of Military Institute of physical culture.
