The Emperor (also called the "Prince") is a work of the thinker and statesman from Florence Niccolo Machiavelli. This treatise describes the methods of seizing power, the methods of management and the skills that are necessary for an ideal ruler. Originally, the book of the Sovereign was called "On Principalities".

The work was written in 1513, but it was published only in 1532, when it was 5 years after the death of Niccolo Machiavelli. Treatise Sovereign Niccolo Machiavelli - the fundamental work of his time on the systematization of information about the state and its management.
