Youth is the third and last part in Leo Tolstoy's pseudo-autobiographical trilogy. The work was first published in 1857 in the cult journal Contemporary. The book Youth (Tolstoy) describes the university years of life of the main character and his fellow students.

The plot of the story Youth describes the university life of the protagonist and his friends and comrades in their youth. The volume of the work in comparison with the previous parts of the trilogy (they are called Childhood and the Adolescence) has become much larger. The story, written by Leo Tolstoy, is filled with interesting philosophical reflections and a multitude of events that can happen to any of the young people.

There is a sixteenth spring of the main hero of the story of Youth - Nikolay Irtenyev. He is preparing for university exams, overflowing with dreams and reflections on his future destiny. Nikolai starts a special notebook where he writes the duties and rules necessary for his cultivation. In the passionate Wednesday, an old confessor comes to the house.
