The TerreSauver Toolbox suite of Apps is placing engineering experience, expertise and engineering problem resolutions at the point-of-task, as well as the manager’s desk, in real time, and with practical reporting and dashboards available for decision-making. Also, making compliance to regulatory requirements (Codes of Practice) in the workshop and on the plant easier, no paper and data re-typing and reports generated “at the press of a button”. The suite includes 4 main focus areas:
1. TRAFFIC FLOW AND RISK ASSESSMENT:
• In accordance with guideline DMR 16/3/2/2-B2 issued by CIOM relating to the DMR – MINE HEALTH AND SAFETY ACT, 1996 (ACT NO 29 OF 1996) as well as international best practices.
• It is a cloud-based, practical and easy way to assess the traffic flow on any site, road or intersection, NO paper, with data feeding automatically into a back-end repository (for audit purposes), from where a traffic flow assessment report can automatically be generated in alignment with the requirements of the above stated regulations.
• A detailed risk assessment, based on the above traffic flow analysis, can then be done - consisting of the identification of all hazard areas, hazards, risks, required controls (standards & policies - required COPs and operational procedures), as well as leading indicators / KPIs according to which compliance can be monitored.
• A final report will then be automatically generated in alignment with the above regulatory requirements for submission to the regulators, management, etc.
• An audit trail is also available for future reference and control (in case of e.g. an incident).
2. VEHICLE INSPECTION (From 400-ton yellow fleet vehicles to fleets of small LDVs):
• A very practical, and easy-to-use Cloud based application, with real time visibility of all vehicles being checked and real time assurance that complete check has been done (safety and risk assurance), including regulatory checking – e.g. licenses, permits, and monitoring of services, etc. It also provides a Time & date stamp as well as identification of the specific individual or inspector whom have completed the inspection for verification and control purposes.
• Checklist to include pictures of e.g. damage on vehicle, etc.as well as real time reporting of any possible issues or technical/maintenance support required
• Data is immediately (in real-time) available, as well as at any later period for the purposes of reviews or audits (or as input information for the purposes of incident or accident reports), with Vehicle Inspection and Control Dashboard & Reports for management and reporting purposes.
3. Maintenance Efficiency Engineering: Guide and govern fit-for-purpose maintenance practices – including lubrication optimisation, (despite lack of available, experienced, qualified technical staff), on a practical, solution focused mobile App which is plant and workshop friendly. The App places engineering expertise at the point-of-task, real time information on the manager’s desk, and all without the need for dreaded paperwork.
4. FUEL USAGE OPTIMISATION: Highly accurate, real-time mechanism for the monitoring of fuel usage (Real time Km and/or hours operated – reconciled to fuel used (which is auditable) across the operation, with a trackable per vehicle/per fill (or loss) audit trail. The App provides automatic reporting, flag irregular fuel usage, as well as provide weekly or monthly reconciliations and fuel usage reports.
