Hijri calendar is a lunar calendar not solar calendar: that is use all over the world. Moon sighting is mandatory for staring the month. Hijri calendar is consisting of 12 months in a year, with each month consist 29 or 30 days, depend on moon sighting. If moon is sighted at the 29 of the month it first of the next month tomorrow else 30 the next day.
It is used (often alongside the Gregorian calendar) to date events in many Muslim countries. It is also used by Muslims to determine the proper days of Islamic holidays and rituals, such as the annual period of fasting and the proper time for the pilgrimage to Mecca.
