At Flatiron Health, we believe that learning from the experience of every cancer patient is an imperative — it is the key to accelerating research and continuing to improve the quality of care. What stands in the way is an overwhelming technology challenge — much of the available, real-world clinical data is unstructured and stored across thousands of disconnected community clinics, medical centers and hospitals. It is a problem that we believe we can solve.
We're investing in the future of community oncology. When community practices thrive, so does the care for millions of cancer patients. Our OncoCloud suite is built to meet the technology needs of the community practice of the future: operationally efficient and prepared to thrive in the world of value-based care. Over 2,500 clinicians at more than 800 sites across the country have chosen Flatiron as their long-term technology partner.
Accelerate research with the most advanced real-world evidence platform in oncology. Our pioneering approach pairs clinical oncology experts with innovative technology to rapidly generate high quality data directly from the EHR. Flatiron real-world evidence is derived primarily from the EHRs of over 265 community clinics and academic institutions at over 800 geographically diverse sites of care. Together, our partners help us to form the largest and highest quality source for real-world evidence in oncology – including both structured and unstructured data, and longitudinal clinic data with tumor specific models that evolve with the standard of care.
Historically, the idiosyncrasies of real-world data have kept the promise of regulatory-grade real-world evidence out of reach.
Today, with Flatiron’s technology, researchers across the industry are using RWE to develop breakthroughs like the external control arm. These advances hold the potential to transform the way research is conducted – opening the door for faster approvals and increasing the breadth of questions researchers can address.
This first-in-class, real-world data source integrates Foundation Medicine’s next-generation tumor sequencing data with Flatiron’s longitudinal treatment and outcomes data captured from the EHR. With the Clinico-Genomic Database, researchers can conduct outcomes studies in biomarker-defined populations, discover novel targets and more effectively design clinical trials.
The state of EHR data at academic medical centers and hospitals presents a frequent challenge to clinicians and researchers. A better solution is needed to unlock the value of both structured and unstructured EHR data. Working with your EHR data, Flatiron establishes a valuable, research-grade clinical data infrastructure at your cancer center. Combined with access to curated data from Flatiron partner institutions, your research and clinical teams can now achieve far greater levels of insight.
