Sherlock Holmes (adventure) is a collection of 12 detective stories written by Arthur Conan Doyle. The book was published October 14, 1892 and is the first collection of stories about Holmes. In a number of stories, criminals remain for one reason or another unpunished, and the theme of justifying a falsely accused person is also constantly present.

In total, Sherlock Holmes appears in 56 stories and 4 stories of Arthur Conan Doyle. In most cases, the narrative is conducted on behalf of the best friend and companion Holmes - Dr. Watson.

The first work about the famous detective Sherlock Holmes, the story "Study in purple tones", written by Arthur Conan Doyle in 1887. The last collection, The Sherlock Holmes Archive, was published in 1927.
