In this post, I am going to show you how to install TOPIK Locker on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Step By Step Guide To Install TOPIK Locker using BlueStacks

Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
Once installed, click "TOPIK Locker" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

Both a flash card and a quiz tool, TOPIK Locker is designed to help enthusiasts and beginners alike, learn and recognize the basic Korean characters through clever repetition and memorization of the 6,000 most commonly and frequently used Korean characters.

The six thousand words are based on the official Korean word list as released by the National Institute of Korean Language (국립국어원), the South Korean government language regulatory body and is widely used as the foundation in preparation for the TOPIK exam (Test Of Proficiency In Korean).

For this app, the 6,000 characters are separated to 6 distinct levels in order of increasing complexity. The app starts with only characters from level 1 whether for flashcard or quiz. As the user gain familiarity of the existing characters, the app will adjust the word list to gradually include characters from subsequent levels, i.e. one by one, from level 2 to level 6. The learning/relearning of new words are relayed via informative flashcards or directly tested depending on the user's preference.

Character recognition is reinforced through repeated exposure and testing. The user's familiarity with the individual characters are assessed by the 'depth' of the character that defaults at 4. For every correct answer in the quiz, the depth of the character decreases whereas for every incorrect answer, the depth increases. Over time, for any character that the user manage to get to depth value of '0' and will be stored away in the 'Locker', thus giving way to new characters to arise, aiding digestion.
