In this post, I am going to show you how to install roboAngel on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install roboAngel using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "roboAngel" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

[Note 2] about Bluetooth: At the moment, support for Bluetooth is not available on BlueStacks. Hence, apps that require control of Bluetooth may not work on BlueStacks.

  1. Download & Install NoxPlayer at: https://www.bignox.com. The installation is easy to carry out.
  2. Drag the APK/XAPK file to the NoxPlayer interface and drop it to install
  3. The installation process will take place quickly. After successful installation, you can find "roboAngel" on the home screen of NoxPlayer, just click to open it.

roboAngel is able to automatically lock your phone when you reach the safe speed limit of 20 km/h roboAngel is also designed to only lock the driver's phone leaving the passengers phones operational so if you are not the one driving, if you are in a bus a boat or an aeroplane or even a NASA space rocket you'll still be able to use your phone unless you are the one driving these vehicles, all you have to do is to simply not open the app!

of course, we cannot force you to enable the automatic lock on your phone but please do remember that driving is a great responsibility your life matters and other people's lives matters too it is your responsibility to drive safe and let's be realistic here, it's hard to resist the urge of using your phone so roboAngel will help you by completely locking your phone

please note that if you have a Bluetooth device in your car or if you have an android os car or if you have Bluetooth connected headsets or earphones you'll still be able to answer incoming calls or use google assistant and of course, google maps voice instructions will still work and if you have a Bluetooth connected touch screen in your car you will still be able to use it for google maps

FAQ:

Q- does the app require an internet connection?

A- absolutely not! roboAngel doesn't require any form of internet connection or a sim card in order to work.


Q- what if I'm not driving, will roboAngel still lock my phone?

A- technically, if you are not driving you don't have any logical reason to open the app :), in case you've already opened it you can still close it from the android menu, but the person driving must stop the car.

Q- does roboAngel collect any data from me?

A- absolutely not! but roboAngel might collect crash reports if the app crashes on your device in order to solve issues.
