In this post, I am going to show you how to install ObsIdentify - Vlinders on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Step By Step Guide To Install ObsIdentify - Vlinders using BlueStacks

Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
Once installed, click "ObsIdentify - Vlinders" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

ObsIdentify is an application for automatically recognizing of flora and fauna. There are several modules that help to bring wildlife by name. This module detects Dutch and Belgian butterflies and moths (including caterpillars) through photographs. Make your phone a picture of a butterfly in the field, on the site of the living room and the app shows what kind it is. The recognition works completely offline.

A total of 1690 recognized species butterflies and moths.

Pay attention:
certainly not collect butterflies that have protected status and spared the rest when it is not absolutely necessary for further study or research.
Do not Tread without more areas closed to the public as reserves, estates, gardens, meadows and the like. Ask permission of the owner or manager, be tactful and explain the situation. In most cases it appears to be very interested and is granted full cooperation.
Be patient and cautious when a butterfly does not show immediately or (temporarily) which is further away. Stay calm even if the butterfly suddenly to another place near moved; ensure that the butterfly is there too at ease.

tips:
Recognition works best when taken multiple photos.
Photographing moths can be difficult due to the lack of light. It is better to shine with a flashlight then use the flash.
For the recognition sharp pictures of the subject.
Overexposure: in direct sunlight can be difficult to photograph butterflies. Use your own body to create shade. Thus, the camera captures more detail and greater the chance of identification.
ObsIdentify can select later pictures stored on the phone and if necessary editing for recognition.

Photos recognized ObsIdentify can be stored on Waarneming.nl, Waarnemingen.be or Observation.org through the ObsMapp app. ObsIdentify can also be called from ObsMapp.

The ObsIdentify applications are free and are made by a joint venture between Observation.org, Naturalis and Cosmonio.
