The Central Supplier Database (CSD) mobile application (app) will be utilised by potential suppliers interested in delivering goods and/or services to the South African government i.e. national or provincial departments, municipalities or state owned entities. The CSD mobile app can also be utilised by Organs of State (OoS) to search and view a supplier’s details as per the CSD Supplier Registration report. This app is free to use and provides easy access to registered suppliers and OoS supply chain officials who have accepted the Terms and Conditions on the CSD website (www.csd.gov.za).

The CSD mobile app provides registered CSD users the ability to view:

• Fraud and corruption awareness campaign details;
• A view of the Terms and Conditions that the user accepted on the CSD website;
• CSD system generated communication, like emails and sms’s (excluding One Time Pins (OTPs) for security measures);
• News Feeds pertaining to CSD functional changes and enhancements as well general or specific notifications and Frequently Asked Questions;
• Contact Us information of CSD support and walk-in centre contact details; and
• An ability to request an up-to-date CSD Supplier Registration report.

A Supplier user will additionally have access to a list of their supplier registrations as captured on the CSD website, and the ability to view an up-to-date mini supplier profile of each of their supplier registrations as well as basic order information for orders placed against a supplier profile, by an OoS. A supplier profile reflects the completion status, the verification status and key information messages pertaining to the various subsets of the supplier’s profile e.g. industry classification, contacts, bank, tax compliance etc.

Users of the app should note that only finalised information that was submitted on the Overview tab on the CSD website would be reflected on the CSD mobile app. Changes applied to the supplier’s profile that are still in progress, therefore not yet submitted on the Overview tab, will not be reflected on the CSD mobile app or CSD Supplier Registration report.

An OoS user will additionally have access to the “Am I Registered” function to search for supplier information and then generate an up-to-date Supplier Registration Report.
Other features available to CSD mobile app users via a link to the CSD website, are:

• Reset your password if the user has forgotten their password;
• Request the resending of the account activation email for users that have not successfully registered;
• Change incorrect email address;
• Register as a new CSD user; and
• Overview of the supplier self-registration process.
