Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah bin Mohammed al-Sudais, nicknamed Sudais General Chairman of the Holy Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, and Imam of the Holy Mosque. Attributed to the tribe of Anza. [1] He was born in al-Bakariya in 1379 AH and he is from al-Bakiriya in al-Qassim region. [2] [3]

He is the General President of the Holy Mosque, the Prophet's Mosque, the Imam and the preacher of the Grand Mosque in Makkah. He is one of the most famous people of the Holy Quran in the world. He was able to memorize the Qur'an and was not twelve years old. [4]

In 1979, Al-Sudais received a certificate from the Riyadh Scientific Institute with excellent grade. Then, in 1983, al-Sudais completed his higher education at the university where he received a degree in Sharia and then on leave from the Islamic University Muhammad bin Saud in 1987. He received his doctorate in Islamic Sharia in 1995 from Umm al-Qura University. Abd al-Rahman al-Sudais knew the special tone in his voice, which he used with his kindness and his excellent recitation of the Holy Qur'an. Al-Sudais won the Islamic Personality Award for the Year at the 9th Session of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award in 1995. [4]

Al-Sudais held several positions, most notably his appointment as imam and preacher at the Grand Mosque in 1404 AH. He began his work in Sha'ban of the same year on Sunday, 22/8/1404 AH at Asr prayer. His first sermon was in Ramadan of the same year on 15 / 9. [3]

He obtained a doctorate from the Faculty of Sharia at Umm Al-Qura University with an excellent grade with a recommendation to print the letter about his thesis (clear in the fundamentals of jurisprudence to Abu Al-Wafaa bin Aqeel al-Hanbali: study and investigation). In 1416 AH, the letter was supervised by Mr. Ahmed Fahmi Abu Sunna, Abdullah bin Abdul Mohsen al-Turki, secretary-general of the Muslim World League, and Dr. Ali bin Abbas al-Hakami, head of the Shari'a graduate studies department at Umm al-Qura University. Al-Sudais grew up in Riyadh and enrolled in Al-Muthanna Bin Haritha Primary School and then at the Riyadh Scientific Institute. Al-Sudais was able to memorize the Quran at the age of 12. He studied it in the Holy Quran memorization group in Riyadh. His parents attributed it to the Quran memorization group in Riyadh, Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Farian, and follow-up Sheikh Sheikh Mohammed Abdul Majid Zaker, even memorizing the Koran by a number of teachers in the group, the most recent Sheikh Muhammad Ali Hassan. [3] Then he went out to recite the Holy Quran to Hafs's novel about Asim al-Kufi in the institute in 1399 AH (Excellent) and then enrolled in the Faculty of Sharia in Riyadh and graduated in 1403 AH.
In 1408 AH he obtained a master's degree with excellent grade from the Faculty of Sharia at Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University (Department of Principles of Jurisprudence) on his thesis. He received a doctorate from the Faculty of Sharia at Umm Al-Qura University with an excellent grade with a recommendation to print the letter on his thesis (clear in the fundamentals of jurisprudence to Abu Al-Wafaa bin Aqeel al-Hanbali: study and investigation). This was in 1416H. Abo Sena, and discussed by Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Mohsen al-Turki, secretary-general of the Islamic World League, and Dr. Ali bin Abbas al-Hakami, head of the graduate studies department at Umm al-Qura University at the time. (Fundamentalist issues related to the legal evidence that Ibn Qudaamah al-Azali disagreed with). He also recently received his degree in jurisprudence specialization from Umm al-Qura University.
In 1404 AH, a directive was issued appointing Al-Sudais Imam and Khatib in the Holy Mosque and began his work in the month of Sha'ban of the same year on Sunday, 22/8/1404 AH in the Asr prayer and his first sermon in Ramadan of the same year, on 15/9. Then he moved to work as a lecturer in the Department of Justice at the Faculty of Sharia University Umm Al-Qura, Makkah. He was then appointed assistant professor at the Faculty of Sharia at Umm Al-Qura University and established a research chair in his name to study the fundamentals of jurisprudence at Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University.

Al-Sudais is now the head of the affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque. He was appointed on Tuesday 17-06-1433 as the General Secretary of the Holy Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque - succeeding Sheikh Saleh bin Abdul Rahman Al Hossain by Royal Decree of King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Sharia and Islamic Studies at Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah. He is the General Supervisor of the Imam Al-Dawah Al-Da`aa Al-Daa'i Al-Da'wah Cooperative Charitable Society in Makkah.
