Our app does not collect any information from your phone beyond the data captured by reading Qrcode. Some mobile models ask for access to some other devices, so orientation restricts access to the contacts only.

How to use: You must be present at some polling place BEFORE 5:00 PM when the BUs of each Election Section will be published. You must arrive at the polling place before closing at 5:00 p.m. to be able to remain inside.

Each BU consists of a form with the votes of each candidate and one or more QrCode at the end. The chairperson should hang a copy of the BU at the door of the Election Section so that all voters have access.
The QrCodes of the BUs of each Election Section should be read by the application one by one sequentially and then sent to the totalizer. Do this for all Election Boards from your current location.

Since the Brazilian electoral system does not allow an effective audit of the vote counting stage and the generation of each BU by the electronic ballot boxes, since these do not produce the Voter Checked Voting by the Elector, this CMIND application aims to provide inspection only at the stage of transmission and totalization of BUs - the only stage of the Brazilian electoral process that can be reliably audited as explained below.

The electronic voting process in Brazil consists of three stages:

1. Preparation:
It covers the period of analysis of the source codes in the TSE's dependencies in Brasília six months before the election and goes to the preparation and loading of the polls, about a week before the election. Unfortunately, the procedures released by the TSE do not allow an effective, direct and independent inspection that determines that the software presented in Brasilia is in fact the same one that is loaded in the electronic ballot boxes.

2. Determination:
This step covers everything that happens on election day between the issuance of the zerest at 7:00 AM and the issuance of the BU at 5:00 PM. (If the ballot software has been rigged, the BU only materializes the fraud).

3. Totalization:
This stage includes the transmission of the BUs to the Electoral Administration computers and their subsequent aggregation until the official results are published. It is the only stage of the electronic electoral process that can be audited directly and independently and that is what this application was developed for.

It is important to always keep in mind that if something malicious happens in steps 1 and 2, the TSE's restrictive audit rules are insufficient to identify any frauds.

The Brazilian electoral system has a unique peculiarity: it is the administrator who calculates and publishes the electoral result the same entity that also determines the rules of supervision of its work. In other words, the electoral audit is curtailed and restricted by the auditee.

Exercise your citizenship, oversee the only phase that is accessible to voters and candidates, and continue to require physical proof of the vote (Voter Checked Voting by Voter), as in all other countries that use electronic ballot boxes
