Space is infinite. Stars as far as the eye can see. So many planets just waiting for you to visit them. But they're surrounded by asteroids, orbiting your target and blocking your path.

That shouldn't faze you, though. You're a fantastic pilot. The best, even. You should have no problem launching yourself through the asteroid field towards that lollipop planet.

You just upgraded from your red spaceship to an awesome new one. In the past, you cruised through the stars in a rocket fuelled by the power of love. You've left a trail of hearts through the galaxy. Now, all the colors of the rainbow glisten in your wake. The ground peasants envy you as they gaze up from their planets and see your magnificent colors as you speed through their solar system, their galaxy, their universe.

Things are getting tougher now. Asteroid fields are denser, and moving through space faster than you're comfortable with. That's OK though. You're prepared. You've collected an assortment of tools over a very long career to aid you in your endless race through space. What are you going to choose?

A black hole? Suck in all of the asteroids that orbit too closely, leaving a gap just big enough for you to pass.
A bomb? Blow away everything for the easiest planet jump of your life, just don't get hit by a stray asteroid...

You picked up a time-drive on your way here, and use that to slow all the asteroids to a crawl. The opening to the next monster-inspired planet presents itself and you try to race through before the asteroids speed back up. Unfortunately, the time dilation wears off moments before you can enter the atmosphere, and an asteroid slams into the side of your spaceship.

It's a huge explosion. Majestic, you might say, were you not hurtling uncontrollably through space. You did well though. You almost beat Tim's high score.

"This time I'll beat it" you think, as you start another round. You will.
