The transition begins on 15/9/2018 and ends on 30/6/2019. When converting, operators will have to dial in parallel (maintain both old and new numbers) from 15/9/2018 to 14/11/2018 and maintain the tone in Vietnamese and English.

According to the announcement of MIC, the first 11 subscribers of Viettel including 0162, 0163, 0164,0165, 0166, 0167, 0168,0169 will be converted into 032, 033,034, 035,036,037,038,039. The 11-digit subscriber of MobiFone network consists of 0120, 0121, 0122, 0123, 0126, 0128 and will be converted to 070, 079,077, 076, 078. The top 11 numbers of VinaPhone include 0123, 0124, 0125, 0127, 0129 will convert the beginning number to 083, 084, 085, 081, 082.
Vietnamobile and Gtel's first 11-digit subscriber will switch to 10-digit number 05x. Specifically, Vietnamobile's 01 0188 0186 subscribers will be changed to 056, 058. The first 11 subscribers of Gtel will be changed to 059. Thus, basically subscribers of Vietnamobile and Gtel will hold the last 8 digits when switching to the top ten numbers.
10-digit mobile subscribers remain unchanged.
