The Edu.Lazio platform is aimed at improving training processes, developing a new training model in which the traditional classroom lecture is integrated and supported by new technologies, tools and techniques. It is a web environment for distance learning, which allows online delivery and management of content such as text resources, images, animations, videos, interactions, etc.
Edu.Lazio allows the use of innovative methodologies and tools during the whole training process:
• in the pre-classroom phase, video lessons and tutorials will be used to provide the participant with awareness-raising training on the topics that will be subsequently dealt with in the classroom. We then resort to the Flipped Classroom (the so-called inverted class) and the Bitesizing principle (small learning learning units). These tools allow learners to access materials on the net that can be enjoyed at any time and place by using mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones (Mobile Learning);
• in the classroom phase, the contents are adapted to the needs and the level of knowledge / competence of the learner (Adaptive Learning) allowing a greater involvement of the learner and a better understanding of the concepts; we use adaptive quizzes built on specific topics, usable on devices that give results in real time and can provide for the assignment of scores according to the logic of gamification;
• in the post-classroom phase, the rewarding / badging system is used, ie recognizing the knowledge / skills acquired and assigning a badge to the participant with the aim of obtaining greater involvement.
EDU.Lazio is a learning system intended as a circular, bottom-up, collaborative, social and digital process.
