In this post, I am going to show you how to install G-tos NFC writer, and Qr code and NFC reader on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install G-tos NFC writer, and Qr code and NFC reader using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "G-tos NFC writer, and Qr code and NFC reader" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

The Gtos app scans NFC data, Qr codes, and barcodes.

NFC data types that G-tos app can read includes:

G-tos scans the following barcodes;

When the Gtos app scans a data source NFC tag or barcode, it gives you the user a well-presented result display with options related to the data type making the data easy to use.
The options include:

The G-tos app saves your scanned Qr code, barcode, and NFC data by default. You can disable this feature or delete saved data from settings.

Formatting
The Gtos app can format NFC tags into NDEF format which can be read by both Android and iOS NFC apps. Formatting an NFC tag will delete all data on that tag unless that NFC tag's data has been protected. To format an NFC tag, touch format from mod tag then the tap the targeted NFC tag with your smartphone.

Writing
Notes:
🔸 You can write tags that can be read with our iOS Gtos app and other NFC apps.
🔸 Some phone cases and phone car mount metallic plates can interfere with NFC.
🔸 NFC tag usually does not have a lot of space, keep data small so that it can fit in your NFC tag.


Simple data tag
The G-tos app you can write simple NFC data tags. These data tags are NFC tag that contains that are not automation task. They are of the following types:

The NFC tag data that are written by the Gtos app is cross-app and cross-platform. They can be read with the Gtos app, other Android NFC reader apps, the G-tos iOS app, and other iOS NFC apps.


NFC tasks
You can write single and multiple tasks that will be performed automatically by the phone on contact with the written NFC tag when NFC is turned on. They include:

◽ Airplane Mode
◽ Brightness
◽ Ringer
◽ Volume
◽ phone flash Lights

You can read core tag data on an NFC tag including protected once. Core tag data include Tag Type, SAK, ATQA, Data format, Technologies Available, NFC tag’s Serial Number, Protected by password, Signature, Memory Information, Size, Writable, Can be made read-only, and Records.

The Gtos app has a copy tag feature. With this feature, you can copy data from one NFC tag to another NFC tag as long as it is not protected. And, it is really easy. Make sure the target NFC tag has enough space before copying data.

This app comes with how-tos to help you in figuring out how to use it.

Always test your newly written tag by scanning/reading it with the G-tos app.

This version of the Gtos app does not generate Qr codes or barcodes. If you will like to generate free Qr codes you can use the Qr code generator on the Gfects website.
